"Countdown" is such a sweet and funny short play for two actors! The awkward glory is all too relatable, and it is expertly balanced with genuine tenderness and the comfort of being with someone you know and trust to take care of you. A simply lovely play that would absolutely delight audiences.

This is a thoroughly engaging short play with much at stake and lots of beats for two young actors to play. The interruptions add humor and suspense, and Danny’s admission to Rachel makes the awkwardness genuine. This would be great for a New Year’s Eve night of fun theatre!

"Countdown" is a funny and tremendously sweet comedy that gets all of the awkwardness and urgency of a burgeoning romantic relationship between friends just right. It's almost as if Rushing adapted "American Pie" for the stage in a simple 10-minutes. Rachel and Danny are adorable characters, and will be just as adorable when they're performed live on stage. An engaging play!
