Treat yourself and listen to this fun short play on the Gather by the Ghost Light podcast, great production!
It's often said the it's good to face your fears for the best therapy, and David takes this to a whole new level, with a twist which made me laugh out loud!
Great as an audio, but would be so much funnier staged. Love it!

The twists! Every time I thought I knew where this short was going, it took a surprising turn. Fun and cathartic in equal measure!

We produced an audio play version of this script in our season 4 line-up on the Gather by the Ghost Light podcast (https://www.gatherbytheghostlight.com/s4e15). David MacGregor is a master of clever comedy and that talent shines like the brass of a clown horn in his play "Immersion Therapy". He takes us on a comedic journey as Melissa overcomes her fear of clowns by having to confront it face to face. Literally. MacGregor also craftily makes us feel sympathy for Droppo the clown as his feelings surface through the comedic situation. Well written! Great dialogue! Highly recommended!

What a delight! Melissa's husband provides her with a unique birthday experience. Things do not start well when the gift turns out to be a clown, Her fear of clowns has a complex backstory that ultimately rebounds to her husband's benefit. This play received a glorious production on Gather By the Ghost Light.

What a funny, touching and surprising play. I had no idea where it was going to go next! The suspense was tangible. I was riveted. Bravo!! I’m off to read it again!

A hilarious gift of a play, featuring a clown, a woman with coulrophobia, and jaw-dropping revelations! Now available for your listening pleasure (with delightful sound production) on the Gather by the Ghost Light podcast!

Such a funny, sweet, while a bit naughty, play about getting over one's fear of clowns. It was a complete surprise and I didn't see that ending coming. Would be a great addition to any "general audience of grownups" evening of short, comedic plays!
