I was lucky enough to see this in performance and wow. I was in a constant grin the entire performance. I felt like it was written for me and about me at the same time. Aside from feeling seen, I felt energized. I cheered. I screamed. This show hits on so many levels, encourages self worth, and reminds us that we all have a rock star within us when we need it.

This musical has REVOLUTIONIZED me! As a latino bear cub I never felt like my own life was valid enough to write a musical about. Well shit, I was surely wrong. I'm obsessed. I have a million words to say and only this little box to write them in. Oso Fabuloso belongs on Broadway! It deserves a million productions for the next hundred years across the world. I want all my latino gay bear singer friends to get a chance to play this role, and so many more in the future! Thank you for writing this beautiful musical Julian!!!!

OSO FABULOSO IS FUCKING FANTASTIC!!!
I just saw Jiménez perform it and I am blown away. Oso is a tremendous star vehicle for a Queer Latino Bear with a spectacular voice for rock vocals! The music is fabulous – high energy, a melange of styles, and hook after hook after hook – but the narrative is essential! Oso comes off like fierceness itself, but his reason for performing this very show comes from heartbreak. It's a lesson that even the fiercest among us are vulnerable to love, and even the most vulnerable need not be vanquished by it.
