We all know about the charming prince who rescues the damsel in distress. In great comic fashion, Emily Hageman turns the fairytale on its head with a decidedly feminist twist. With a clueless prince and his wise and wisecracking squire, the laughs are plentiful. A great addition to any festival.

Absolutely delightful and so important! A message made clearer by the complete cognitive dissonance of a fairy tale prince. This is perfect for student scenes as well as festivals. It will be an audience favorite!

A brief, yet wickedly satiric examination of our fairy tale mythology. A self-absorbed prince tries to figure out why the princesses he saves don't want him, while his sarcastic squire tries to tell him why he is so repulsive to them. In just five pages, Hageman smartly subverts the tired Prince and Princess tropes of most fairy tales into something that all dudes need to hear today.

This is a very charming and quirky tale. I like that it also provides a different perspective on these damsels in distress that need to be saved by princes. Looking forward to reading more of Hageman's stuff!

Super silly and quirky. PRINCE NICE GUY asks all those questions we have when we're watching Disney movies wondering why no one ever calls the police. Hageman also gives two great roles for actors to dig into and enjoy the comedy of, in the play. Well done!

The baboon of a prince and the sarcastic squire are such a wonderful pair! Hageman highlights her comedic talents in this "what about the nice guys?" family-friendly short. This would be a great fit for any theatre producing an evening of short feminist pieces.

Delightfully funny while poking fun at those who would try to foist themselves on the unwilling, the so-called "incels" and more. Hageman writes with a light touch in a play I can see appealing to the high school crowd, but while delivering a message that is both timely and timeless. I was smiling throughout, but the script got me thinking as well.

A clever feminist comedy lampooning princely behavior in classic fairy tales while criticizing that behavior as nothing nice, charming, or sexy. It's obnoxious, even destructive. The Prince's exploits make you think about the sexual exploits of men today in bars, wherever. Like with her other play 'Locker Room,' Hageman explores male behavior, this time behavior in the pursuit of the opposite sex. Poking fun, but making a point. Don't dismiss this comedy as mere entertainment. It'd be cool to see this played by high school or college girls in drag!
