A fantastic portrayal of a father making peace with the world his daughter is entering into and the privilege he's now concerned with for the first time. Excellent work.

This is such beautiful play! This play could've easily been 1001 different and predictable things but is instead this touching moment where someone makes peace with becoming a dad. Bykowski seems to be a master at grasping readers and including them in these major, but brief, moments that leaves us with a warm glow. Looking forward to reading more from this playwright!

The play beautifully states the fears and anxieties of new parents: babies are flesh and blood, yes. But they are also tiny, super-delicate and maybe made of glass? Love is woven throughout. I loved the sly remarks about a man's strength versus a woman's. The fear of the mistakes that will be made parenting rings so true. So much happens in this short play and it all strikes home and to the heart.

Bykowski has a great sense of storytelling. Here is a wonderful metaphor made flesh! Beautiful language and imagery. And so True!

How is it possible that I have tears in my eyes after 7 pages??? Bykowski has such a strong, unique voice -- I could read this play blind and know it was hers. These characters leap from the page and make you want to touch them. FLESH, BLOOD, & GLASS gives us a simple and beautiful metaphor for the anxiety of parenthood, but Bykowski doubles down by weaving in male privilege and male suppositions about the strength of a woman's body. I love this freaking play.

Bykowski achieves so much emotion in such little time, this short holds a lot of punch. I enjoyed the specifics of fathers and daughters, but also felt so much resonance to the same fear I felt before my children were born, that as parents we're inevitably going to fuck up. Really well written and powerful.

A truly heartwarming father-daughter piece that delves into what it means to be truly strong, to be feminine, masculine-- there is so much to take away from this play! It would be a wonderful addition to any shorts festival.

Wonderful parable starring an unborn girl and her father. Some very salient points made. Telling observations on the socialization of males and females in America. And some very funny lines. Bykowski has a great command of language and theme. Good work!
