Hilarious! And if anyone is looking for a great example of what to send to PlayingonAir, this is truly it! Study how quirky and specific it is. Study the humor, what she's doing in the minds of her audience, and how she subverts subverts subverts - she is a wonderfully subversion playwright, and I adore her work for it!

So funny. I'm dying. I listened to this play on Playing On Air, and it made me laugh out loud - and thoroughly confuse my boyfriend, who could not hear what was going on in my headphones. It's a great listen and I'm sure it would be an incredibly fun production. Check it out!

What a play. Great characters and inspiring and funny dialogue and the ending had me in tears. But it also touches on deeper issues of parenting that really get to the heart and soul. Would love to see this play performed. Highly Recommend!!!

This is a fun play that provided some pretty awesome laughs while tackling fears and concerns of parenthood. I'd like to see this produced as both women have a lot of fun lines. Gardner's dialogue is whip smart and fast paced and I'm in love with it!

Another wonderful dark comedy from Gracie Gardner. In my own experiences with having kids, I've had moments of feeling what both the mom characters from HATE BABY feel, and I want to see many many more plays exploring the horrid and terrible feelings instead of just concentrating on the magic moments that come with parenting. The play also has a super funny male character that had me laughing and feeling fearful all at once. Great work!

This play is an absolute delight. Sigrid brings up a lot of things that I am sure many mothers feel, but never says. The dialogue is weird and quirky and funny. Dave's random pop ins are hilarious ("Oh, I do something!"). Darla's speech at the end is beautiful. And then the end? Comedy gold. Gardner is hilarious, strange, disturbing, and insightful all in one tight ten page package. It's no surprise that Gardner's writing is on the up and up, she is one of a kind.

I highly recommend this wacky play about postpartum depression, anxiety about being a new parent, and regret. At one moment I'm shocked by this women's objection to being a mother and her awful thoughts about her newborn, and then the next I was totally understanding her and she's breaking your heart. A ten-minute like no other -- just like the award-winning play Pussy Sludge. Expect the unexpected with Gracie Gardner. I will definitely check out her other plays.

It's spatulas and babies in this humorous piece. Worth a read.
