What a treat it was to listen to a production of this quirky 10-minute play about writing 10-minute plays on Theatrical Shenanigans with performances by Jeff and Jacquelyn Priskorn. https://theatricalshenanigans.podbean.com/ . Writers will get it... audiences will too. That's not an easy task. Way to go, GREG HATFIELD.

"I can see the phones coming out now..." Funny! Love the meta-theatricality of this piece and the commentary on today's attention spans. There are some very funny moments as one character, with a very clear voice and opinions, tries to help an enthusiastic playwright who really doesn't have very much of a clue. The playwriting might be off track, but I really do want to see the nice picture of Jimmy Carter. Don't we all? You can listen to a wonderful audio production of it by Theatrical Shenanigans with performances by Jeff and Jacquelyn Priskorn. https://theatricalshenanigans.podbean.com/

So, I actually discussed this play with Greg on a podcast interview, so it was destiny that I was always going to read it. In it Peter is portrayed as a very real playwright excited about a new piece, which is of course something I related to, as will many others. Not only has Greg created a wonderfully relatable situation for his two characters but he's intertwined it with brilliant back and forth dialogue. I had great fun reading it and enjoying moments of just smiling and laughing out loud. Its a play within a play that made me smile!
