Saw a production of this play and it was a delight. A "man meets women" story. They find something in common and then whammy, a real turn about. Good short piece.

A DAVE WITH DESTINY is an imaginatively quirky play that tells a sweet story in only five minutes! Great work to Ken Preuss.

When things go wrong for Margo in the film “All About Eve,” she shrugs and quips “One of destiny’s many pranks.” If only Dave could say the same. Nonetheless, this romantic comedy is magical and engaging from beginning to end; one feels for Dave, and yes, Destiny too, as they work their way to their own destinies, romantic or otherwise.

You may think this quick little play is leading you down the runway to an expected lift-off. It doesn't. Quirky, funny characters turn this two-hander upside down and take us out of dream-time predictability into a refreshing reality. A perfect play for any shorts festival!

A warm and witty play that rolls forward, sideways and ultimately reverses in a genuinely quirky and unpredictable way. Huge fun, this a rom com satire will delight everyone, even those with "With no training in sign language whatsoever." (one of my favourite lines!)

Sweet and funny and certainly for me, the perfect ending. Bonus: Great new pick up lines.

I love love love plays with a twist at the very end, and A DAVE WITH DESTINY does not disappoint. Hilarious spoof of 'meeting cute' and a million rom coms. From the title to the (gut) punchline at the end, Dave - and Preuss - make us laugh and wince with recognition. Read it and produce it!

What a delight this was to read. I'll bet it plays even better onstage. A play about that special someone and what it means to meet to woman of your dreams. The punchline is worth the price of admission alone. Nicely done, Ken.

A delightful, fast paced, hilarious play about missed connections with a bang of a twist at the end. Sparkling dialog that barrels along at a breakneck speed. So much fun! Easy set, staging, and casting, it would make a great addition to an evening of short plays.
