What a fun and delightful little play! Very poignant and sweet and it accurately captures an emotional state that I think we all experience. Like a little slice of truth and reality that we can all easily relate to.

There are some deceptively deep philosophical questions here, but Mr. Lynn makes them palatable, even enjoyable to consider. Wonderful visual metaphors as well. Highly recommended.

What a fun and sweet play! The characters here felt exceptionally real but also exceptionally fun. Audiences will be able to relate to both of the philosophies presented -- and the fact that these philosophies are presented with fun anecdotes and quirky dialogue is a great plus! Existentialism for the everyperson. Love it!

Lynn’s “The Coriolis Effect” is a wonderfully tender and warm piece of dramatic writing. By blending charming (even bordering on the absurd at times) humor with human delicate realness Lynn creates lovable multi-layered characters, and a delightful yet essential dialogue, addressing life’s big existential questions. Highly recommended!

Yet another of the memorable readings at this year's Midwest Dramatists Conference. The characters and action of this charming piece feel so natural, so every-day real, and so recognizable that you almost feel you're in the bathroom with them as Matt tries to remove his hand that's stuck in the toilet. It's an accident that has caused him to reflect on his life and marriage as his wife Lisa tries to figure out not only how he got his hand stuck, but why is he waxing so nostalgic and philosophic suddenly? Lynn deftly makes it all utterly believable and enjoyable.

Robert Lynn is one of those rare writers whose work is both cerebral & poignant, as evident by "The Coriolis Effect." I had the tremendous pleasure to see this play at a reading (2018 MidWest Dramatists Conference) and it is a pure pleasure to the senses! Robert knows his way around the alphabet and he is not afraid to play with the language in a witty and thoughtful way. His characters feel real, their dialogue is authentic, and everything that occurs in the play is genuine. Robert is a master playwright who is at the top of his game!

This must have been based on the life of me and my wife! Robert Lynn's tone is so realistic and his humor so spot on that he can make us laugh one minute and make us nervous the next that, you know what, it might not work out. A real look into the married life of 40-somethings.

This is a great example of economy of style in both writing and storytelling, which makes it all the more impressive for the depth of feeling it generates for the husband and wife. Robert Lynn shows how little things -- even embarrassing moments -- bring out the truth and honesty between two people who think they know each other and themselves. And it makes you laugh, too. I loved it.

This play is so real! Anyone in long term relationship -especially parents - will see themselves in this warm and relatable piece. Lynn creates a great setup and allows two affable characters to have at the oncoming conflict. It’s breezy and accessible with just the perfect amount of emotional reveal. I imagine that this play would be totally fun to see onstage! Bravo.

A comedy on a mid-life crisis for a married man -- with charm, insight, and surprising intimacy. Perfect short, just perfect. Highly recommend this winning play for any festival on marriage, relationships, love, or just any theatre festival. Get a toilet, two actors, and make this play.
