I have a lot of appreciation for this play's ability to lightheartedly - yet scathingly - challenge the hierarchical institutions of Judeo-Christian religion and the way those same hierarchies worm their way into the foundations of the rest of our society. Jovanovich gives you a piece of herself with her humored take on the socio-political questions we find ourselves wrestling with and sparring over every day in the current age, and yet there is no question that the themes would not be out of place in just about any era throughout human history.
