A very funny dark comedy, with some great roles. Seen in production at New Jersey Institute of Technology.

Well....that's one way of dealing with relationships. From the moment I read the synopsis I knew I was going to enjoy this play and I was right. Steven creates a brilliant scenario with laugh out loud moments between three wonderfully creative characters. Its no wonder this piece has won the awards it has. Its truly wonderfully funny, despite its dark underlining and if you are looking for a laugh out loud comedy then you won't go far wrong.

Absolutely delightful. Somehow the grimness of the subject matter only makes the comedy land harder, and the way the characters interact feels so natural despite the situation they're in. I love how the jokes come through in the dialogue, with charmingly awkward lines, well-earned pauses, and increasingly outrageous denials. Brilliant.

This is the funniest (and possibly darkest) take on modern dating, with many laugh-out-loud moments to go with the high body count. A witty rebuttal of the old saw, "The worst she can do is say no" that proves: There's A LOT worse that she could do. This play would be an absolute delight to see on stage.

Despite its subject matter - or maybe because of it - this is a very funny play that keeps the laughs coming all the way to the end :-)

Such a wonderful foray into dark comedy that has wonderful physical comedy possibilities: from the opening sequence of the body bag being dragged into the room to hiding from the detective at the door, this play would be so much fun to direct and a tremendous pleaasure to act in. Broadly comic roles for women are still hard to find, but Hayet brings two equally funny characters to life in this short play. Looking forward to seeing it!

Irreverence & absurdity are my favorite aspects of comedy, and this play has it in spades! A true 10-minute, with fleshed-out characters and an actual and interesting story arc. Chose it to read with my Acting class, and they absolutely loved it.

Visually funny with some great lines and terrific twists Date With Death by Steven Hayet is a definite crowd-pleaser. I’d love to see a production of this play. The script has plenty of laughs throughout and the character's nonchalant attitude towards death and murder doesn’t seem out of place in the crazy world of dating and trying to find true love.

Thank God for comedies. Funny, irreverent, and with a kernel of truth, this is 10-minutes that just lets you laugh and have fun.
