An honest look at what happens when the roles of parenthood are reversed and the fight of addiction. Well done.

Just saw a powerful Zoom performance of this play. The surprises unfolded one after another, showing us a fresh and believable conflict for a mature actress to play, and a delicate, nuanced relationship between the characters. Hageman shows us a lot in 10 minutes. Well deserving of more performances.

What a fine piece of work. Hageman beautifully explores the parent/child relationship with witty dialogue that keeps you entertained and then slaps you across the face with its codependent realities. The honest simplicity and reality of it all is exquisite. Would love to see this on its feet.

Mother and adult daughter care deeply about one another. They offer each other unsolicited advice about sex, men and doctors. Under duress, mother, who is addicted to prescription drugs, agrees to fight it with her daughter's help. Moving, realistic, hopeful.

The depth of a mother-daughter relationship is beautifully rendered in this piece about life with an addicted parent. Super clever, quick-witted dialogue. Thickly and expertly layered with true-to-life psychology. Dragged cracks your heart but leaves you hopeful. This play will give your audience all the feels. Produce it!

Smart and frank about opioid addiction, this play speaks about a long-ignored problem we face. The author is fair to both characters, giving the audience no easy answers, and yet still the play is hopeful in the end.

This would be a smart choice for any short play festival focusing on drug/pain medication addiction or family relationships. The dialog builds in a believable intensity,a perfectly paced drama that'll have your audience members leaning forward.

Truthful and moving and realistic and with so much going on beneath the surface. I love the mother/daughter relationship and the theme of opioid addiction is handled so skillfully and believably by Hageman that I felt like I was right there with these characters as they struggle with their unspoken tragedy. A wonderful short play with two terrific roles for female actors.

A wonderful play - simple and straightforward, but anything but simplistic - dealing with adult themes of importance today. The play offers two female actors - one early middle-aged and one approaching senior status - wonderful acting challenges. This is a play to be seen and enjoyed. Brava!
