who's mom and who's mama

Authentic and lovely in the bittersweet ways that only life's complexities can provoke: Lang has captured so much life, so much fear, and so much hope in one 10-minute conversation. Sasha and Noelle are striking characters with unique voices, and their blending is poetry on the page. Also: kudos for providing some seriously complex and interesting roles for the two actors.

A wonderful and poignant play. The very specific experience of a same-sex couple adopting a child is treated with grace and deep understanding and at the same time probes the universal anxiety of feeling the sheer weight of devoting yourself to caring for a child. The close is simple and beautiful.

A short play with so much heart. Lang tackles an aspect of the queer experience that is not looked at very often on stage but she also does so without making this play about the characters' queerness. They are just soon to be parents dealing with what all soon to be parents go through. So refeshing.
