A sweet and funny piece about owning the things that make us "superheroes" in the lives of those who matter most. The piece has comedy with heart, and it would make a great addition to any evening of ten-minute plays.

As someone who grew up watching “Super Friends” and working in comic book shops, I’ll admit I was drawn in by the title. The play, though, speaks to what can be really heroic in the real world. Fantasy and life collide in this short but funny and thoughtful piece. A good read for super hero and non-super hero fans alike, and hopefully inspiring for folks to be super in their everyday existence.

"Awesome" and "heroic" aren't the same thing, and Tyler JC Whidden clearly contrasts the two in this short play. These are strong roles for male and female actors, and the central monologue packs a punch with its emotion.
