I had the honour of producing this play as an audio drama and honestly its a wonderful piece which has a emotional state and has wonderful comparisons sprinkled throughout regarding the connection between the care of plants and the breakdown of a relationship. Arianna has given a play that offers so much in the way of emotion and encased in a relationship that feels so real. Its a play that will hit an audience hard in the best way and still leave them talking about it afterwards!

This play took my breath away in its poetry and imagery. Arianna Rose creates such rich worlds in her plays, and MAKE MULCH FROM IT delights in so many ways. The reveals between the couple are captivating and unravel at the perfect moments of discovery. Also the exploration of life-changing moments and of death itself is simultaneously devastating and hopeful. This remarkable play would make a great addition to play festivals and a delight for performers & directors to interpret.

A powerful piece about surviving trauma and making peace with the ghosts (literally and metaphorically) of harmful past relationships. This make it sounds like it is pretty bleak, but it isn't! It is empowering and wry adn touching, with smart dialog and three-dimensional characters.

A poignant, haunting and mesmerising short play about the ghosts of our past relationships as well as the ghosts we became in those relationships. Rose examines the confounding irony of two people becoming more alive to one another once one of them has passed on, having distanced himself from destructive behaviors such as alcoholism. Love and life here are treated as natural cycles, subject to diverse temperaments and continuous renewal. This play will keep you thinking (and dreaming) long after you've finished.
