This play is an absolute jaw-dropper - I echo the other recommendations that laud Darcy Parker Bruce's expansive world-making and lyrical fantasia of queerness, grappling with mortality and what it means to be a family in America today. Intensely theatrical, innovative, and intelligent - a theater (or several) needs to mount the entire Piedmont cycle ASAP.
