Themes of female power, identity, and expectations in our current world - and in our potential future world - should be thoroughly examined in society’s civic discourse. BLACK SKY expertly engages with these deeply compelling topics. The play portrays five unique teenage women at a critical point in their psychological development. At this pertinent age of self- discovery, each multifaceted character must establish their relationships with society, with their peers, and with their own bodies. Set in a future world, the play proposes a commonality of the female experience through the ages....
