An author's descent into madness, surrounded by manifestations of his own creations -- the premise is so inline with its source material, it feels like an original Poe work.

Poetry, horror, gore abound. The audience rejoices and shudders at the appearance of every character, frightening yet familiar old friends. It is a fantastic retelling of the man behind the monsters.

The works of Poe have always fascinated me. Christopher Soucy has created a thrilling and dark piece where Poe is haunted by his works as he talks about his life. It has a classical feel to it and with the right staging/lighting/sounds I feel it could draw an audience in to the darkness and the thrills that Poe goes through. Its a brilliantly constructed premise that left me with goose bumps! If the writings of Edgar Allan Poe and haunting theatre intrigue then this is the play for you. Would make a great production for Halloween. Hauntingly fascinating!
