This short monologue gives you paws for thought (Sorry, not sorry!) for although it is sweetly funny, this poor kitty has been through some tough times. Thankfully he found shelter with a nice lady. Will he get the job? And if he does, will fame go to his head? Probably.

Cat Audition is a fun interview style script that reads as if I am listening to Jim or Pam from ‘The Office.’ This is a fun monologue that gives the actor loads to work with. I absolutely would enjoy if Martha Garvey were to adapt this into a longer play. This script is an easy recommendation, and great jumping off point into Garvey’s work.

"I thought she was just going out to Trader Joes to get me quiche. AND MOSTLY FAILING." What a riot! This monologue would be a ton of fun for a character actor who wants to explore some fun physicality. I see so much of my own snarky cats here, and it's a hoot!
