At first it seems gratuitous and even cliched, and then it turns to a left-handed profession of love from a father to a daughter. But is he a protector, or the object of manipulation. Copper leaves the door open for an astute actor to tread an ambiguous line and give an audience something to talk about.

The role reversal here is so great - a teenage daughter giving her dad relationship advice! Copper builds a beautiful character arc in this wonderful narrative monologue and treats us with one helluva finale! A perfect performance gift to a young actress!

The actor that gets to audition as the teenage Aura has a perfect challenge - play the dark comedy but at the same time deliver the emotional depth that's needed. The length that Aura will go to protecting her father is disturbing (you're left wondering if she's joking or not), but anyone with a heart will be won over by her.
