A lovely play about family and so much more. The use of the ghost of the deceased father is a marvelous device to illuminate generations and loss and grievances that take determined work to resolve. The play and these determined characters do that work, and it's wonderful to behold.

Half of Chopsticks has such a way of making the power of family and love so important. The way that the story unwraps the occurrences that grief and death can bring to a family is so important. 10/10 must read

Half of Chopsticks is a play about grief, love and most of all food and family. This play really encapsulates how grief can affect different people in different ways and how holding to emotions and feelings from a time well passed affect relationships and the world around you. Family is at the heart of this play with all the characters learning how to connect and find a way to be together and with the help of food. A shining star of this play is also the relatable characters woven in the story. A MUST READ PLAY!!

Half of Chopsticks is a beautifully written play focused on family and food. More specifically how grief affects a family and how trauma based in the family doesn’t disappear after death. Kyung Sun Walters intricate designs her story with the elements of food included. As well as providing a story that talks about serious issues in addition to the other themes in the story.

One of my favorite scripts I’ve read this year by far! Walters does an amazing job detailing the relationships between her characters and giving others an insight about what it was like to grow up in K-Town. This play is a must read because it will leave you feeling inspired and start conversations!

A MUST-READ! I shared this script with my Script Analysis class and all of us immediately fell in love with it. This play touched my heart, soul, and stomach! Seriously, this show will make you hungry so grab a snack! I loved how much Walters put herself into this script, and it makes it that much more of a work of art. As someone who is biracial, I connected to this show emotionally and loved feeling represented through dialogue that I could never even put into words myself. Through family, food, and representation, this show is so heartwarming. Highly recommend.

Half of Chopsticks is a powerful play that deals with family and personal identity in a beautiful way. Once you begin to read you won't be able to stop, and personally, I read it more than once because the story that Stephanie Kyung Sun Walters created is simply addicting. You go on journeys with the characters and connect with them personally throughout the play. It leaves you inspired and sparks conversations that you don't want to stray away from. Overall, an amazing play that everyone should read.
