This is hilarious and gut-wrenching and would be awesome to see onstage, especially the fantastic special effects! But more importantly it might get white audiences to recognize our racism in all the very real examples and displays that Hutchinson provides here. It is certainly a conversation starter for a conversation long overdue. Wonderful work!

I was fortunate enough to be in a workshop taught by Chisa about how to write characters who hate you, and in this heart-pounding, suspenseful, highly theatrical piece, she brilliantly practices what she preaches. While tackling huge issues like gentrification, performative wokeness, and the dismissal of Black women by physicians, this play remains laser-focused on the characters at its center while delivering legitimate scares and righteous comeuppance. Everyone should read and produce this play!

This piece is a potent, genre-bending play that balances satire, hilarity, horror, and socio-political commentary. Rebecca is satirically villainous and her slow descent into madness is a creepily rendered examination of gentrification and white privilege. The haunting stage images and visual trickery would be an awesome and exciting challenge for a creative production team. The ending is unsettling and inevitable and satisfying.

Gosh, this play is just so fun, so spooky, so thoughtful. I'm a big fan of horror plays that engage with profound and complex topics, and this one hits all the nails. The social commentary wrapped up in humor and horror finds a successful balance in this piece, and I'm dying to see a full production of it!

Beautifully crafted, nonstop psychological thriller with great commentary on the multitudinous issues the world hurtles at black woman and their kin. A mixture of empathy and terror that every horror story needs. I can't wait to see this fully produced.
