  • John Mabey: To the Zoom and Back

There is something timeless with plays about people struggling to find a connection. In this case it's during a pandemic, but the dialogue between these characters is so relatable beyond a moment in history. In TO THE ZOOM AND BACK, Cindi Sansone-Braff has such insight and empathy for these different characters and finds the threads that both brings them together as well as bringing the audience inside their world.

  • Rachel Feeny-Williams: To the Zoom and Back

This is such a lovely piece despite being set in a world that we are all familiar with, where Covid doesn't allow us to have a 'normal' dating life. The characters Cindi has created for this virtual date are lovely and the interaction had me smiling pretty much all the way through. This piece is proof that Covid hasn't quite ruined all theatre. A touching and lovely piece that deserves a stage.

What a great romantic comedy with two senior adults which is also funny. Sansone-Braff carves out a little slice of Covid life for the reader and what a delight this first date was for us and them.

This is amazing work. Cindi's characters are so colorful and so true. They are unique and real and at the same time so familiar. Besides being very funny, Cindi's writing is incredibly intelligent, clever, ironic, and so compelling, and most importantly, filled to the brim with life. This play needs to be seen. It's fabulous.

In TO THE ZOOM AND BACK, Cindi Sansone-Braff delivered big laughs and big emotion, too. When these seniors decide to meet on a Zoom date, they delve into the highs and lows of technology while also sharing their loneliness and need for connection. And it's absolutely refreshing to see older performers given such rich material to explore! With such well-written dialogue, an amazing premise, and two endearing characters, this play is quite the hit.

What a great Zoom meet cute for two older actors! Ava would be such a fun role to play and right from the comfort and safety of your own home!
If you're looking for socially distant web content for your theatre, you couldn't go wrong with this one!

Two elderly people meet via an online site, have a Zoom speed date, and an unlikely romance blooms right before our eyes. Enchanting, beautifully realized, and at times hilariously funny, this romantic comedy is a perfect antidote for our times, leaving one both hopeful and entertained. Marvelous.

I found this play to be endearing. Two elderly people use ‘modern technology’ of Zoom to have a blind date. The characters are relatable. COVID-19 has added a new challenge to lonely seniors finding connections. You will love this play!

  • Bruce Karp: To the Zoom and Back

This is a sweet and funny play which supports the age-old idea that opposites attract, especially if they're lonely. The dialogue is hilarious and, as a New York native, spot on in content and dialect. At the end of the play, I hoped Ava and Thomas not only had a successful second date, but were going to be together forever.

I loved Sansone-Braff's To the Zoom and Back! Cute, emotional, loving, and down to earth. It's complex in its simplicity and it leaves you warm all over. I'd love to see this play on stage. More like this, Sansone-Braff. Brava!
