The old metaphor about Mars and Venus gets extended via an in depth examination of the facts about each: a semioticist’s dream! Eppich-Harris uses this new perspective to compare how the world seems and what we hope for it. There’s optimism in the pandemic/lockdown inspired pontification that, nearly three years later, we’d do well to hold onto.

Wonderfully written and fun to perform, it’ll make you think and take in the potential for the world around you.

This monologue nails so many o of the truths about why we are here in a situation which is miraculous in and of itself, being able to live on a planet out of zillion of them and knowing there is just this one and not a reserve planet waiting in the wings when this one fails--why don't we as people start, even if we start with just one hour out of our day , to love one another just a little more and try to protect this mother that we seem so ready to throw away for good.

A commanding voice, a universal one, using scientific metaphors while addressing inequality and oppression during our pandemic time that really makes you think and agree with her. Hopeful, optimistic - lovely writing.
