You'll LOVE this play! It's fun, clever, and even a bit romantic. You'll never look at a dishwasher the same. We all think of our machines and devices as things that merely serve us- without any emotion or interaction. Jennifer O'Grady creatively humanises the dishwasher in the play and a whole world of human-machine interactions open up. Clever, touching and a LOT of fun. ENJOY!

A quirky and fun show! I would love to see how an actor brings the character of "Dishwasher" to life, I feel like that would make it even more enjoyable.

A really funny and engaging comedy surrounding an engaging premise and fun characters. Multiple laugh out loud lines and really simple to do in terms of staging. Would be great for 10 minute play festivals!

JENNIFER O’GRADY makes it impossible to ever pass your dishwasher again without at least a friendly smile. We often take ‘things’ for granted. It’s important to take account and sympathize with our ‘friends’, who help us. “Dishwasher” is a fun encounter in the world of appliances needing some love, or at least respectful attention. Fun, witty, and so off-beat. This is a play to read and watch performed.

A very fun and sweet encounter with a dishwasher and some improvement in communication! Love!

What an adorable play! Not to mention fraught with sexual tension!!! And judgment. So much judgment! Heathy communication...? ehhh...

As far as anthropomorphized appliance plays go, this one's a well-oiled machine. The titular Dishwasher in DISHWASHER has many models to choose from, including: Voice Over, Puppet, Pantomimist, and Actor in Dishwasher Costume!

It's as much an LGBT story as it is an advice-from-a-stranger friendship tale about desire, standards, and what we should and should not be willing to settle for regardless of purpose or appeal. Take it for a spin!
