A funny "Shaun of the Dead"-esque horror comedy that also serves as a timely commentary on expectations and pressure put on teachers who have to rethink their entire curriculum in pandemic time. Would love to see this onstage!

Reading this as a retired teacher on the first day back to school for so many teachers = PRICELESS. Between our recent adventure with COVID and talk of weaponizing teachers, REBECCA DIETSCH is right on target with this dark comedy. BRAVO!

Goodness gracious - one of the funniest satires I've come across on NPX. And yes the zombie hyperbole does make an effective case for the absurd expectations we've begun to place on teachers. I love it that they are math teachers tossing around numbers as a means to contain the insanity. Rebecca Dietsch nails the ending. DECAPITATION TRAINING will grow on you exponentially.

This dark short is fantastic. It uses humor (and a zombie apocalypse!) to portray all the impossible demands and dangers placed on teachers. What a wonderful piece with a perfect ending. Genius!

As a teacher and a fan of the horror genre, I thoroughly enjoyed this play! It really depicts how ridiculous a career in education sometimes feels. The very last line/stage direction is dark, comic gold!

This clever, satirical, and laugh out loud funny play will ring true to anyone who has ever worked in schools. The incongruousness of professional development training during a zombie apocalypse sets up a lot of great jokes. It was a joy to read!
