Shanidar

Recommended by

  • Trent Clifford: Shanidar

A fresh take on a beloved genre, I affectionately refer to SHANIDAR as a slice-of-life apocalypse. The way in which it honors the sanctity of found family, while forcing us to consider what truly constitutes survival, make it an unforgettable story. A subtly crafted rollercoaster of fear, joy, and heartbreak, these characters will captivate you from the start.

Character Information

6 women
  • Ellen
Extroverted introvert. An outsider, literally and figuratively. Keeping everyone alive while trying to keep herself alive.
  • Jackie
Realist that others would call a pessimist. Would rather be smoking a cigarette somewhere. Dark and dry sense of humor - if you don't get it, that's your fault, not hers.
  • Tracy
Hanging on by a wisp. Wields her spirituality as a shield, never as a sword. Kind, gentle, caring - all negative traits in this strange new world.
  • Gin
Is not to be pitied, no matter how much people may try to pity her. Blind, arthritic, hearing going, too. A fierce spirit.
  • Alex
Extroverted introvert. Hopelessly out of her league but trying to prove herself anyway. She doesn't burn bridges but she makes you pay a toll to cross them.
  • The Girl
A bunny rabbit. Walked through the fire and emerged as something else.
