Although a supernatural story, Do Over is imbued with realism from the fully fleshed out characters, naturalistic dialogue, and the emotions generated by the longings of family members meeting at a waystation in the afterlife. Arianna Rose creates theatrical, thought-provoking stories. Do Over is a great example.

This play was workshopped in our playwriting group and it was a pleasure to watch it grow to the present edition. A painful discovery of the death of a young man leads us to the Do Drop Inn, a kind of way station for the soul. The dialogue is natural and the through line of the play very clear. This is a lyrical piece of writing for a cast of four.

Once again Arianna Rose creates a fascinating and thought-provoking play leaving the viewer in the kind of emotional state they may have experienced after reading a classic by Stephen King. The dialogue is crisp, the characters are clear and fully developed and the plot keeps us totally engrossed from start to finish.

Arianna Rose creates such a fascinating and elegant world in DO OVER that you won't want to leave the 'U Drop Inn.' This is such a beautifully sophisticated play that explores existence and the bonds we create with each other that transcend death. Her skillful writing is filled with a compassion and humanity that elevates this play into a dynamic one-act I'd love to see staged.

DO OVER is offers a glimpse into what awaits us after death, and how our choices get us there and carry us beyond! Arianna Rose creates a fully fleshed out afterlife, complete with a stocked bar. These characters have some mighty strong wants, and the stakes are literally life and death! Well Done!

The set up seems familiar at first, a young man doesn't know that he has died and is met and helped at a way station in the afterlife - but the play soon takes several heart-wrenching turns. The boy's parents, in their grief, astral project to be with him one last time, there is a reunion with another lost family member, and then a plan for them all to reunite in an unexpected way. I loved the journey, such a moving expression of the depth of commitment and love.

Arianna Rose’s intriguing one-act raises the emotional ante as it deeply contemplates the weighty realities of death, grief, resentment, forgiveness, letting go, and moving on—played out here in very unexpected and creative ways. A touching dreamscape filled with love and hope.

A lovely story of love, loss, and determination, this play is heartwarming look at how a second chance is everything when you’ve lost a loved one. A well crafted and engaging play that will make you cry, and smile. A good ensemble piece.
