I was so happy to read Nathan's Palindrome play, and I'm looking forward to reading more! This is a fantastic and inventive play, which not only works in the experiment of structure the author employs (the repetition) but the dialogue itself is evocative, natural, immediate and consequential! In other words, it's great every which way! Loved it!

This kind of play can be a hit with audiences. A crowd could really find this amusing.

What a fun use of structure and use of stage directions! These two scenes are linked in very interesting ways.

Having never before read a palindromic play, if any others even exist, I am in awe of this piece by Nathan. Read either way it is slick and clever, you can clearly imagine the two scenes being played out simultaneously, if only us human audiences could concentrate on both at the same time! This would be a wonderful challenge to stage! Very clever!

  • Vince Gatton: EVE: A PALINDROME PLAY [10-Minute Play]

I am a sucker for writing that sets itself this high a challenge bar and pulls it off. Nathan Christopher has given us a palindrome play: two scenes, where the dialogue in scene 2 is exactly the same as scene 1 but in reverse. That it’s even coherent is impressive, but Nathan Christopher achieves more than that: this dark, funny, sexy, charming film noir about Genesis is packed with allusion, allegory, and great character detail. Impressive.

  • John Busser: EVE: A PALINDROME PLAY [10-Minute Play]

Charming and clever at the same time, Eve: A Palindrome Play shows a scene from two sets of characters and their respective Points of View, using the same dialogue. A better example of interconnectivity you won't find anywhere. I really liked it.
