I read this aloud with a friend. We found it an interesting take on the characters from Three Sisters, which should appeal to audiences familiar with the Chekhov play.

This is a funny, moving study of two characters from Chekhov's THREE SISTERS. It nicely fills in the blanks of the relationship of that is hinted at in the original piece with humor and profound wisdom. TUZ & SOLY offers a fascinating mediation on the nature of friendship, love and the potential consequences of the denial of self. I highly recommend this play.

A simply gorgeous, beautifully sustained two hander; epic in scope and intimate in character detail, it is a more than worthy companion piece to THE THREE SISTERS, yet it stands on its own as a work of Chekhovian art. A genuinely lovely play, heartbreaking and emotionally true.

I saw a reading of this play at the 2021 Valdez Theatre Conference and was instantly brought into the poetry, the harsh climate and society, and the tough love that these companions share. Eric Moore's characters leap off the page and wrap you tightly in their world, warts and unrequited love and all, and his shimmering and powerful words, humor, and above all sense of depth will stun you. I hope to see this on stage and relish this playwright's absolute love of the form and how he takes us beyond it. Bravo, Eric, bravo.
