The Ace Ish: An LGBTQIAce Revue

An exploration of one person's experience of asexuality, told through seven voices. As the characters perform poetry and burlesque, attend a rave, battle through conflicting ideologies, and confess their deepest secrets, we gain a collaged portrait of an asexual individual.

As an asexual trans woman, I found this piece extremely compelling in a way I don't often see in art. I love how abstract everything is, and how proud the main character is to be something so often seen as a negative thing, even by supposedly inclusive communities. What resonated with me the most is the conflict between Nature and Stone, especially Stone's antagonistic yet relatable self-loathing that serves as the main conflict.

This completely feels like an adaptation of a zine. It's so visceral and messy in the best ways. Anyone coming into this expecting to fully understand what asexuality is will be very disappointed but what you'll get is a kaleidoscopic look into the life of a brilliant human being.

Minimum seven characters, no cishet males. One character is a chorus who can be made up of the existing actors or can be cast with additional actors.
