Wow! Hazel is definitely a do-it-yourself kind of gal! Whether it’s gardening or… other things you normally would call a professional in for! I don’t want to give too much away, so just go ahead and dig in!

I adore this short play. Plenty of humor, witty dialogue and physical comedy for actors to play with. Beyond that it dances along the macabre of true crime that I love to peer over. Gotta go turn the compost bin now after this delightful read.

I got to see this one in performance and it was wonderful. Got lots of laughs from an appreciative audience. I especially enjoyed all the hysterical fake names of the murder-oriented reality shows. Let Kelly McBurnette-Andronicus lead you down the garden (psycho)path.

Loved the dark, morbid sense of humor present throughout this piece! I particularly enjoyed the bits about HOA rules, since I live in an HOA-run community myself.

My partner has a green thumb, so thanks to this short, I know I'll at least serve some purpose after death. Truly this is my favorite kind of play. Dark, but with lots of smiles! The gardener's whimsy is pitch perfect, and McBurnette-Andronicos controls a masterful pace as we slowly begin to realize (like Brad) just what exactly is going on. The reveals are joyous, whip-smart, shocking, and fun as hell. This would be so much fun to see live.

It wouldn't be a Kelly play without shades (or a "dusting") of death. A wonderful dance through post-pandemic isolation, media-dependency, and flaunting the rules of the notorious HOA. Favorite line: "You were always very kind to Mother, and I’ll say as much. (Beat.) When they bring in the cadaver dogs." Fun, twisted, and unsettling - in a very good way.

This very dark comedy is like a cartoon snowball rolling down a cartoon mountain -- growing larger by the minute and picking up speed as it takes on subjects like homeowners associations and their rules, grief during the pandemic, gardening pride and prejudice, and even true crime shows and podcasts.

"The Garden Path to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions" is dark, oddly chipper, and would be so fun to stage and to perform. Kelly McBurnette-Andronicos makes audiences squirm from the start as well as guffaw.
