  • Jacquelyn Floyd-Priskorn: The Prince's Richard

In this fast paced farce full of word play and purposeful misunderstandings, we are slowly enlightened to the fact that this is precisely what we witness every day on political news shows. This is sharp wit that actually cuts through our own purposeful misunderstandings to twist information to fit our own narratives. But the laughter never stops and that softens the blow to our collective egos. Still, heed the warning The Prince's Richard waggles in our faces!

If you like clever word play, and I certainly do, then you must read/produce The Prince’s Richard! Jarred Corona keeps the puns and laughs coming, all while skewering conservative TV “news.” Love it!

  • Alice Josephs: The Prince's Richard

In a parallel universe, where Harry and Meghan & Oprah don’t exist, meet the Prince of England & his … Ah, you need to read or, even better, see this piece to find out what or who, as another Royal goes public & puts himself in the hands of the media. Using an ingenious split structure, with 3 characters within an energetic & whip smart set up, & also jigsaw wit as the three dialogue trajectories come together, this is an adult entertainment in a world where crowned heads have become just some more celebrities & political fodder.

  • Paul Donnelly: The Prince's Richard

Delirious wordplay meets trenchant political commentary in this richly comic take on a certain network and a certain approach to "journalism."

  • Robert J. LeBlanc: The Prince's Richard

It's telling when a piece of absurdism reads like the truth. Jarred Corona's THE PRINCE'S RICHARD is a hilarious take on the current state of 24-hour punditry, where spin is labeled as truth and out-of-context sound bytes are used to drive a narrative, rather than represent the speaker's intentions. This show will have you laughing and will leave you thinking. This is brilliant satyrical absurdism that I would love to see produced.

  • Scott Sickles: The Prince's Richard

In a sea of artfully egregeous groaners, there’s some masterful absurdism here. Using wordplay, rhythm, innuendo, and just plain silliness, Corona fashions a wicked social commentary about conservative news, entertainment news, the media’s and the public’s fixation with celebrity (especially royality), and ultimately humanity. It gets deeper the more you think about it, which makes it even more enjoyable after you’ve stopped reading it. Talk about absurd!

I have to hand it to Jarred Corona, I genuinely haven't laughed so much reading a play as I have this! It's so funny, brilliantly named characters and incredible innuendo! I sometimes direct, so this is high on my list to one day produce if I can find enough happy loons to act in it, which I'm sure I can. Utterly, hilariously wonderful, READ THIS!!!

  • Jan Probst: The Prince's Richard

Word play abounds in this ridiculously witty comedic spoof on news programs. The attempt by the conservative host to serve up a platter of misdeeds by his potentially more liberal counterparts does not go as expected. But then, nothing does in this hilarious little play.

  • Cole Hunter Dzubak: The Prince's Richard

A great political comedy that makes me wish I could come up with jokes and stories like this. Corona has such a distinct voice, and you can hear it here more than ever. This is a piece that I am going to come back to when I am looking for inspiration for political commentary as well as wordplay. Brilliant work, can't wait to read more.
