This riff on Bertold Brecht's Mother Courage is a wild ride with vivid, closely observed characters, precisely-rendered dialogue, and a serious take on the climate crisis. A challenge to stage, but well worth it. Well done, Lori.

A fantastic riff on Brecht that takes a heartbreaking look at the climate crisis. Loved the songs in the play and how they move the story along. Loved how strong Flor is and how she is willing to do whatever it takes to create a stable future for her family. She is a deeply flawed character but you can't help but root for her. All of these characters are looking for ways to exploit people in the face of tragedy. I was so moved by this play and need to see it produced.

This play would be genius in a site specific swimming pool- some innovative company needs to snap this up.

This fascinating play weaves in many of my favorite things -- music, Spanish, impossible stage directions, and more. Its characters are desperate people surviving terrible things, and their suffering feels real despite the elevated theatricality required to stage a climate crisis. Don't sleep on this one!

Lori Felipe-Barkins brilliant play inspired by Brecht's "Mother Courage and Her Childern" is insightful, heartfelt, and unnerving. Both a drama and a dark comedy, the characters take us on a roller coaster of emotions. Would love to see this play produced.
