I adore this. A nod to noir romance, a "what if" scenario, and a surprise ending - mood drives this delicious short play by CHRISTOPHER PLUMRIDGE!

Reading Chris’ play, I saw everything played out so vividly. I was sucked into the story, the clever set-up and delivery, and the sultry, silent siren in the red dress. Who wouldn’t be tempted? Her Smile gives us dramatic tension, a rich tableau, and a mystery that unfolds to an unexpected conclusion. Wonderful.

No one conjures up time, place, and mood quite like Christopher Plumridge. Especially mood. A hotel lounge where patrons retain their anonymity. A lady in red. Smiles and drinks shared. Temptation! Where will it lead? You may be surprised! Pleasantly, I think. Would love to see this staged!

Her Smile is a captivating play that delves into the complexities of temptation and desire, all while taking place in the intimate setting of a hotel bar. The dynamic between Michael, the barman, and Lalita is masterfully crafted and keeps the audience engaged from start to finish. The low lighting and quiet music, creates a sense of intimacy, that makes us believe that he will succumb to more than just a subtle smile, but there are tricks to this trade! Fantastic work!

Another cracking piece from Christopher Plumridge who manages to create atmosphere from the very start of this clever, smart piece of theatre. You are lead down one path only to find you might not end up where you thought. Excellent, fun and memorable.

This piece had me on the edge of my seat, ready to get very frustrated...and I believe that is the point. I actually picture this as a short film. The Barman and Lalita in black & white (except the red dress, of course) and Michael in full color as he recounts this hotel encounter, until the end when everything comes into full color and focus. It feels like a wonderful art piece with a great message.

This short, tricky piece will have you wondering "does he" or "doesn't he". A film noir kind of vibe, it has a really good ending. The kind that gives you a pleasant surprise. Love the voice over kind of delivery. Sexy in its own way.

This was brilliantly done. It had me misled the whole time, with a great ending. As Scott S. noted, it rather defies standard categories, almost a genre of its own. Love it!
