The old soul’d Sam dominates this script - Moughon has imbued so much life into the characters of this short play that their dynamic feels wonderfully specific and lived-in. Due to that fact, the play’s final reveal lands so satisfyingly from a horror perspective and it also cuts emotionally further than you may initially expect!

A coming of age short play that turns into something completely different... WOOHOO! Halloween/Horror festivals will love this short piece by ERIN MOUGHON. Young actors will delight in bringing these characters to "life."

I don't know how Moughon does it. Every time I've read one of her phenomenal horror shorts my jaw drops at the twist that you never see coming. These characters are well-developed and there is great chemistry between the two of them. The dialogue flows very nicely and the action is expertly layered for the shocking twist. To summarize, Moughon is a horror genius.

A wonderful play that un-self-consciously plays with your expectations in the best of ways. A perfect Halloween piece for all ages, but especially for students who may struggle to find material that plays to their strengths and ages. This is a must-have piece come October!

Can Sam hold on to Chris when Halloween comes and to what lengths will one go to? A lesson in the important of trick-or-treating. Frighting and well done!
