Recommendations of Acts of Creation

  • Aly Kantor: Acts of Creation

Vibrant, specific characters populate the world of this family drama, in which anticipatory grief - and, later, active grief - guide so many decisions. It asks questions about what constitutes a legacy, and if it's ever too late to create one (and, most interestingly, where AI fits into the act of creation). I loved the use of AI-generated text in the script itself. The more you question "how did this string of words come to be?" the less it matters. It's here, and it's strange, and it means nothing except what you decide it means.
    A fascinating premise executed beautifully!

  • Ross Tedford Kendall: Acts of Creation

Very interesting approach and concept. Thought that the characters were unique and dynamic. Interested to see more of this type of work from this playwright.

  • Cassidy Byron: Acts of Creation

Intriguing concept right from the start, with very funny one-liners balanced with its drama! I would love to see this piece performed live.

  • Rich Rubin: Acts of Creation

A highly original comedy-drama about family dynamics and the cycle of life. ACTS OF CREATION is topical, poignant and often very funny, with five juicy roles for actors to enjoy and explore. Well-deserving of all the accolades it's already received!

  • Cary Simowitz: Acts of Creation

I very much enjoyed reading this piece! Its boldness in exploring death/legacy vis-a-vis AI and autogeneration is rife with theatrical potential. I also appreciated encountering a play that affords roles for older female actors, granting them a chance to shine. Brava Brianna!
