This is such a unique idea for a script, to write about ideas for scripts. In such a short time I really felt sympathetic for the playwright when his muse is gone. I've had the goal for years to try and develop my playwriting skills and I've written a few short plays, but I often seem to face the writer's block highlighted in this script, as many established writers do too. As an emerging playwright, I appreciate how relatable this script is and the way I can feel seen when I read it. Wonderful!

Broken hearts can often lead to literary gold and with Acosta's piece, we have just that, a man who has lost in love many times but has used that sadness and that grief to fashion a monologue that as fragmented in action as his broken heart once was. Small steps as one heals that damaged muscle.

Crowdsourcing your play is the perfect answer to writer's block, right? Maybe not so much. It's still great fun to watch this playwright give it a try and to ultimately get to the source of his own writer's block.

There are so many writers out there who will feel for 'playwright' as he desperately tries to turn his ideas into a reality. Jonathan expertly explores the creative process with this is piece and conjures up some wonderful imagery for the audience as they travel with the actor through his creativity, desperation and in the end....well you will just have to read it and find out, but you definitely should.
