Wow! There were so many twists and turns in this play that kept me on my toes. There always felt like there was something that felt off but you never knew exactly what it was until it was revealed. Along with that, I loved the relationships between all of the characters and how they developed throughout the plot. It was also really wonderful to see so much diversity within a story and be able to hear a story from a perspective that I feel like isn’t shown as much. Overall, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

An incredible play with so many elements I want to see on stage. From the noodle, to the changing store front, to Vera, I cannot wait for the day I get to see this play. Whenever a play makes me go do research about a culture to learn more right on my first read, it makes me love it more. I found myself looking up every dish that was mentioned and researching why food is so important in their culture. I loved every element of this play, and how it is so relevant in our time today.

Outstanding Work! I just want to take the time to really acknowledge the craftsmanship of Minna Lee. (Standing Ovation) To say that this play was great would be an understatement. This piece of art really touches on a few different topics like gentrification, AI, culture, food, etc... and does it in a way that is so strategic it truly will bring tears to your eyes. Beyond that though it is funny, it's queer, it's sad, it's lovely, it's art. That is the only way I could describe this piece as!

A vibrantly theatrical, funny, and timely play. The characters were easy to root for and I found myself instantly invested. I really appreciate how the human need for food took center stage in a story exploring the implications of corporate AI. The playwright's emphasis its connection to Vietnamese culture, ancestry, and spirituality makes for some incredible moments, including a noodle you can climb to the moon! A wonderful read.

This is such a vivid play. I absolutely love it! The themes of gentrification are there and are felt but not in the typical way. There is a great mix of fantasy sci sfy, and realism. This is the type of play that gets me excited about theatre and reminds me why I love this medium so much.

A funny, sincere, outrageous, and epic exploration of Vietnamese ancestry that occurs when the owners of a pho restaurant realize that their world is simulated by a corporation eager to gentrify the neighborhood – but one of the waiters falls in love with the AI avatar sent to take over the restaurant. I was hooked the moment a giant noodle slurped up into the ceiling. A blend of spirituality, sci-fi, and romance through brave, wild, and hilarious characters, all within the context of Vietnamese/Hmong culture and history. #BiBRadiance2021
