  • Nora Louise Syran: Waitering for Godot

Bonafede reveals what is happening behind the scenes of Vladimir and Estragon"s waiting for a Godot more interested in his coffee and himself than anyone else, and a waiter waiting on a table for yet another party waiting... it's endless. Super.

  • Paul Donnelly: Waitering for Godot

This comic gem perfectly captures the laconic humor and the sense of the absurdity of the human condition in the manner of Beckett's masterpiece. The waiter's frustration, Godot's opacity, and the boy's innocence are vividly drawn. It is clear that Vladimir and Estagon have a long wait ahead.

  • Agnes Palfi: Waitering for Godot

A delightful homage to the original, filled with charm and joy to read. The title is equally brilliant, perfectly capturing its essence. I liked how it connected the motionless time with the rushing world.

  • Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend: Waitering for Godot

I'm angry I didn't come up with this premise - but it's all for the best, because I wouldn't have been able to parody Samuel Beckett's tone as well as Bruce Bonafede does. He nails it. This short gives us a glimpse into what Godot was doing while he was being waited for - and what a thorn in the side he was to the server stuck waiting ON him. It is funny, smart, and as absurd as the play that inspired it. What an accomplishment!

  • Jennifer O'Grady: Waitering for Godot

A smart, witty and very funny ten-minute play. If you're ever wondered who exactly Godot was and why he didn't show up, Bonafede has the answer!

  • Philip Middleton Williams: Waitering for Godot

This is a fun rim-shot at Samuel Beckett, employing his own style and deftness of dialogue to gently poke fun at his absurd masterpiece. But you don't have to know the original work (although you should) to get the dry and droll humor of it. I think even Mr. Beckett would appreciate it and maybe even make a counter-offer.

  • Donald E. Baker: Waitering for Godot

So just who was Godot? Turns out he was one of a food service worker's worst nightmares--a diner who monopolizes a table long after the meal was finished and the dishes have been cleared. Yes, the waiter who waited ON Godot is now waiting FOR Godot, to pay the check, to leave a meagre tip, and to get the heck out so he can turn his table. This is a wicked little masterpiece that parodies Beckett's tone perfectly.
