The sort of gutsy, wild, risky work that every theatre should aspire to produce, but so few would dare attempt. It implicates the audience as complicit in its conflation of violence and sexual desire, making it somehow deeply perverse and also the most normal thing in the world. Its 185 pages fly by breathlessly til the very end.

one of the most genuinely shocking plays I have ever read. ASS2MOUTH revels in discomfort, toying with its audience with gleeful delight. At 185 pages, ASS2MOUTH is not a light read but- damn, Walker does not let a single go to waste. An obvious passion project we are lucky to witness. I would KILL to see a production- am I the Second Swamp Slasher?

Cosmic, horror, filthy, queer, hilarious, brutal, nauseating, kinky, wacky, WET...this play is a wild ride and a fascinating portrait of queer teens coming into their identity.

A genre-bending uber-theatrical treat of a play that combines horror, queer coming of age, satire, brutalism plus some heightened Gregg Araki vibes at times! I loved this exploration of identity, sexuality, gender roles, masculinity, and the ways that queer teens are forced to navigate the complex and murky waters of desire, discovery, internalized homophobia, and vulnerability oftentimes in hostile territory. Totally bombastic and I'd love to see a creative and daring production team take this on! The Second Swamp Slasher is a potent and well-utilized extended metaphor to help tell this tale.

This play is AWESOME, wild, honest, tender, brutal, it's everything I want theater to be and every queer story I ever wanna see, I LOVE THIS PLAY and hope there are a lot of theaters out there brave enough to support this great play.

Just when I thought Haygen-Brice Walker couldn't possibly dive deeper into the corners of depravity in the human psyche he somehow proved me wrong. Fever dream is the best way to describe this play and so many others by Walker. Reading it on the page produced so many emotions that it made me so excited to have them heightened when I see this onstage. This play needs to be produced. Audiences need to be made uncomfortable by this play. Artists need to push themselves past their limits of decency and what is proper in theatre. STOP BEING COWARDS!!!

This was my first time reading a play by Mr. Walker and, my Lord, was it an experience! In this genre-hopping piece of work, Walker explores how misdirected desire and secrets lead to the destruction of a group of teens. Through his characters' use of social media and theatre, he also challenges the stability of identity. The characters are recognizable yet disturbing. The story is graphic in the best sense of the word. And the humor is the cherry on top! Audiences will be enthralled until the very end. Produce this play now!
