I just love how surprising and funny this (as in laugh-out-loud funny) as well as relatable--who hasn't experienced the frustration and boredom of waiting on line? Morkin does a fantastic job mining that situation for its absurdism while presenting two very human characters meeting for the first time and hoping that whatever it is they're waiting for will actually occur. So much fun!

    Nothing happens… once.

"On Queue" offers a unique exploration of waiting and human interaction, using humor to engage the audience. The witty dialogue and relatable theme make it an entertaining piece. The ambiguity adds an element of intrigue, inviting the audience to reflect on the nature of waiting and the unpredictability of life

The dialogue in this short is SO much fun. I love listening to these two have an awkward conversation while waiting in line. It flows naturally from one topic to the next, just like in real life, and just like in real life, emotions can change on a dime. This would be a very fun piece in an evening of shorts.

On Queue is a wonderful piece of absurdist comedy that is laugh-out-loud funny on the page, and probably even better in performance. Hope it gets a lot of them!

Freudian doughnuts and cigars! This minimalist play about two men waiting in a line wonderfully satirizes theatrical waiting, and it it does it in ten minutes - unlike Beckett’s famous play (that makes you wait for ninety minutes and then after the intermission does it to you again!). ON QUEUE has Morey Norkin’s signature humor and quirkiness that will keep you chuckling and guessing. I like MAN 2’s argument that you need two points to have a line and that because he’s the second point he can make the line go whichever way he wants. Wonderful stuff.

Morey Norkin has an unerring knack, an inbuilt ability to create humour from the simple. This wonderful piece is - seemingly - devoid of plot and purpose, yet it is full of both, in some way! Beckett might well be rather chuffed at the comparisons to his work! What we have here is a play which entertains, delights and fascinates all in a few minutes - as ever, from this excellent writer, it is a cracker!

No one creates a better play about nothing than Morey Norkin. The quick dialogue, the twists and turns, the donuts, the line, the infinite possibilities that Morey explores in this humorous two-hander will bring a smile to your face and some out loud laughter at times. Norkin whisps you away to this nothingland where there aren't any real answers and plops the audience down in the middle of it. Love love love this play. Well done.

En pointe SNAPPY dialogue in an existentialist world. How does Morey keep writing hit after hit? This one is pleasantly absurd AND at the same time also makes you wonder ... why DO we follow the crowd?

ON QUEUE by Morey Norkin is a delight even without knowing references to Waiting For Godot. The rhythm and pacing are a true homage while the comedy is also so strong and unique. This would be an absolute joy to watch unfold on stage and even for both actors to switch roles on different performances.
