The only thing "THE AWARD WINNING MOVIE ABOUT A NORMAL WHITE PERSON WHO OBSERVED A GREAT INJUSTICE HAPPEN TO SOMEONE ELSE AND WHO FEELS KIND OF BAD ABOUT IT" is missing is a puppy that teaches NORMAL WHITE PERSON that there's still good in the world. Now that would be Oscar gold.

A great jab at the way Hollywood loves to profit off the tragedy of others while rewarding those for looking pretty while doing the bare minimum.

The imagery in this tiny play is brutal and I love it. Lam encourages us to think about privilege, Hollywood, tragedy porn, and more all in the space of a minute and with a healthy dose of snark. *Chef's kiss*

Outstanding and merciless satire of Hollywood, the Oscars, and the awards-bait movies that Have. An. Important. Message. In one minute, Greg Lam punctures the self-important balloons of "Crash" and its ilk. Bravo!

As we go into awards season, this satire is especially appropriate and biting! A great little short that does not pull any punches as it takes savage aim at Hollywood and the lens it chooses to use.

In just one page, Lam nails red carpet superficiality and a skewed white saviour worldview introducing character, plot and a laugh-out-loud killer final line summing up an actor’s life and, at the service of commerce, his or her ascent up the celebrity greasy pole. Clever, biting and exciting.

With the Oscars swiftly approaching, Greg Lam's one minute satire feels especially timely, but it is also evergreen; a scenario that never feels far fetched in our art-political climate. It's a play that hits you like a well needed slap in the face.

Greg Lam's one-minute satire says and shows everything it needs to skewer award-bait movies, the actors who appear in them, and the awards themselves. It's a sharp gem of a script that'll be a centerpiece of any one-minute festival in which it's produced.

Loved everything about this one minute play. It’s sharply funny (I laughed out loud reading it), but also insightful and very time. I would absolutely love to see this work produced, and it would be a great addition to a short play festival. Excellent work by playwright Greg Lam!
