Ah the travails of the artistic process, when actor and director seem at cross-purposes. There is no mistaking when Stanley has had enough of the process in this witty two-hander. Although I would like to speak out on behalf of Stilton.

Some lines in a play deserve attention and respect, actors and directors work on such lines together to achieve the best meanings.
Then sometimes, (some) directors go way too far on an innocuous line and demand a distinct delivery. But a line about cheese?
This is such a funny short on the relationship between actor and director, I am sometimes both, so I can truly relate to this.
Oh and I hate stilton too.....

I love to find the deeper or deepest meaning of a work. I found CHEESY by Vivian Lermond to be a clever and witty one-minute play that has a deeper meaning than the one on the surface. CHEESY is a comical telling of what actors and directors face when creating their art. Actors are challenged to find the truth in the words on the page that resonates with them and enables them to perform believably. Directors are challenged to find a way to lead the actors to a place where they can find the truth. Sharply written play.

Classic. And by classic, I mean cheddar, mozzarella, brie....you know.... not Stilton. Love the interplay between director and actor.

Who is cheesier in this comical pristine theatrical play of what sounds like a rather cheesy play? It is up to you - and the actors - to find out!

A pretentious director clashes with a lazy, short-sighted actor. Vivian manages to tell the tale with fewer words than I can describe this fun piece!
