Playing G.O.D. by Alexa Schoffel is a delightful yet profound exploration of life, death, and the afterlife. With clever dialogue and an engaging premise, it reflects on the power of our choices and the impact we have on others. A witty and thought-provoking experience! I got to see this one performed and can attest firsthand.

This is a thought-provoking and witty exploration of life, death, and the afterlife. Through the dynamic interaction between Jordan, a recently deceased individual, and Deathbot, a quirky and enigmatic guide, the play navigates themes of regret, redemption, and the human condition. With its witty dialogue, compelling characters, and existential themes, the play offers a unique and memorable theatrical experience. Extremely creative!

A refreshingly optimistic play that offers compelling insights as to what a person would do in the shoes of God and how even the smallest actions can shift someone's perspective or life as a whole for the better. Schoffel does not waste a single letter of text as each line in the show furthers the plot and themes on display. The logic of the test is easy to understand, but is amazingly complex and thought provoking in it's conclusions. An awesome 10 minute play!

A wonderfully sweet answer to the question “what happens when we die?” A meditation on influence and inspiration, as well as what makes us fundamentally good. Warhol gave us 15 minutes of fame, Alexa Schoffel offers 5 minutes as God. Terrific play!

What a charming play. Funny, well-paced, and well-defined characters make this play a must-read for those who want a laugh. I laughed out loud in a couple of places! I'm thrilled for Alexa and look forward to reading more of her work. Outstanding effort.

What a delightful comedic look at the afterlife! To be greeted by a hilarious Deathbot and given the chance to play G.O.D. for an individual on earth sounds like something to be desired. Certainly the opportunity to see how it all plays out on stage is to be desired! Alexa Schoffel provides several laugh out loud moments along with the wonderful lesson that if we can have a positive impact on even one life, we have done good. Pure fun!

What would we actually do if we had 5 minutes to play G.O.D. ? That's the difficult question facing Jordon as she waits to go to heaven... I mean up, or maybe down. Thankfully, she has the assistance of a Deathbot, with a wonderful cheeky sense of humour.
I do hope that when my time comes, a friendly robot will play some smooth jazz to calm my nerves!
