I love the pacing of this play, as the most awkward conversation between strangers zips along, and the jokes keep coming. So much fun!

This is a laugh out loud, funny rendezvous between a somewhat flighty, yet worldly bride-to-be and a reasonable, yet perhaps naive young lady. The little gems in the dialogue come fast and furious. There were many "laugh a second later" moments during the production I attended as the funny stuff was processed. Very enjoyable ten minutes.

Oh my gosh I love the swift pace of this play. The honesty from Brittany along with the truth bombs from Mary make this piece so very funny as well as enlightening. This is a favorite, for sure!

When Mary, who is trying to advise a bride with cold feet, announces that she “has questions” (twice), I laughed out loud and wanted to raise my hand and say “me too!” The more you hear of bride Brittany’s story, the more you wonder why she’s at the chapel in the first place. A very funny and original take on being left at the altar. So many laughs, but my favorite was a reference to “Three’s Company.”

Part of being an audience member means you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the cringe. Bob LeBlanc has got your back. While the meet-cute (or meet-"Acute" - it's a weird triangle) of Brittany's current groom to be didn't exactly take the normal route to get there, she DID commit to tying the knot. Until, that is, she gets cold feet. Then she desperately needs help and our other character in this play, Mary, needs to help untie things. With humor, insight and some hard truths, Mary gets the job done. A wonderful two-hander.

I can't recall when a short piece like this had such a high stack of awkward situations. And it works. That's the kicker. It absolutely works! You come away from this brief comedy knowing that is has hit the truth. Well done!

The situation in "Second Thoughts" is jarring, the revelations are cringe-inducing, and Robert J. LeBlanc's writing skill makes me feel more empathy for the person giving the advice than the person who needs. This is a very funny play that is just different enough to put an audience on edge.

Just wondering how many times in "real life" this has happened. Because it's not impossible in the least. Mr. LeBlanc has captured a tragic situation and mined it for every ounce of hilarity and absurdity available. A beautiful piece for two game actors eager to bounce off each other. Rings with a sad truth, as well, and that what makes the comedy so sharp.
