I like how the son and the mother are set on their goals and ready to battle to get what they want, all in the setting of climate change. Without getting political, Mark deftly uses climate change as an opportunity to help both characters. Fun and funny while highlighting the world we now face.

This realistically rendered mother/son relationship is used to explore responses -from justifiable alarm to head in the sand denial - to the impact of climate change. The mother ultimately uses her son's concern to manipulate him to her will on another topic. Thoroughly compelling throughout.

Terrific play that shows how real, personal, and deadly climate change is. Mulkerin brings it home in this mother son relationship. Jake struggles to convince his mother to move somewhere "safer," even though they have a strained relationship and she does not want to believe climate change is a matter of life or death.
