Probably my favorite in the Greetings saga. Reminded me of so many connections lost to distance and time. Such a feast for the two actors to find what is said and what is unsaid.

From a PA native this play is a Certified PA Banger. A gorgeous script about two people struggling to find the connection they once found so easy. It's been said before, but Zack Peercy is a male playwright who actually, really knows how to write deep and interesting queer women. Incredible. I give this play Five Big Booms.

I read this play right after reading Greetings From The Moon and the two plays work so well together. It was great to get to revisit these characters 7 years later and see how much they have changed. There lives have definitely gone in different directions than they both thought and Peercy has captured that form of depression really well in this play. This play will break your heart in so many ways. You so badly want these two to be together and the way things end feel so honest and complex.

Dang! This is a beautiful and heartbreaking play. I had the privilege of seeing a reading of it at the William Inge Festival in 2023, and even in a reading it was so vivid I remember it as if it was fully produced--I remember the booth at the diner; I can smell the volcano fries. The two talented actresses at the festival took full advantage of the exquisite opportunities Sadsville provides an actresses to show her range. I highly recommend this play for scene work, production--if you're looking for a one act to dig into, this is it!

Watched in sequence with Peercy’s other work in the “Greetings” Saga. WELCOME TO SADSVILLE is a note-perfect depiction of our tendency to project intimacy in our friendships while holding ourselves back from true vulnerability. Rich soil for two capable performers to dig into.

I was honored to see this performed at the 2023 William Inge Theater Festival. GREETINGS FROM SADSVILLE is a powerful short play about friendship, shared pasts, and expectations being crushed. I went from laughing one minute to feeling the raw pain of regret the next. ZACH PEERCY masters the art of voice in this moving piece. BRAVO!

I saw a staged reading of this play at the 2023 William Inge Theater Festival. This is a great piece that goes from brutally funny to just brutal in an instant. I am impressed with how quickly I went from laughing at the comedy to aching at the drama. This would be a wonderful showcase for two performers, giving them a wide range of emotions in a short time.
