  • Conor McShane: The Clockmaker's Gift (ten-minute play)

A funny and charming adult fairy tale with a theme that just gets more relatable as the years go by. I'm at a point in my life where I'm beginning to realize that when the time's gone, you never get it back, so better enjoy what you have while you can!

  • John Busser: The Clockmaker's Gift (ten-minute play)

I was charmed by Enid Cokinos' two-hander about a woman running out of time and a man with far too much. Each might want what the other has, but upon examination, perhaps it's best to lie in the bed of one's own making instead. This play, although not world-shaking, still has some important things to say about how a person spends that precious commodity of time. And we are treated to a satisfying conclusion where the characters each get a little of something they truly want. How rewarding is that?

A hard-charging businesswoman is brought up short by the news of her terminal illness and an 18th century clockmaker in her attic who offers her a choice to beat the odds. Will she opt for the Lady or the Tiger? An intriguing cautionary tale.

  • Hannah Lee DeFrates: The Clockmaker's Gift (ten-minute play)

A charming piece about living life in the moment, The Clockmaker's Gift raises the question: Would you rather live forever but alone or together but for an undetermined amount of time? Time is ticking, so give it a read.

  • Christopher Plumridge: The Clockmaker's Gift (ten-minute play)

Ah, such a sweet, fun, yet sad meeting in a loft between a chardonnay swigging lady and an ancient clock maker - well that's certainly unique. I love the interaction between these two contrasting characters in his, no hers, no, their loft. But in the end a fitting compromise is met and lessons learned. THE CLOCKMAKERS GIFT truly is a unique play which would be lovely to see staged.
