The community of National Committee readers for the 46th Bay Area Playwrights Festival advanced BLANK SLATE as a Semi-Finalist at Playwrights Foundation. We appreciated the complex subject matter and the way the writer's point of view was expressed. We were especially drawn to the voices that depict each character’s subconscious in a poetic way. We hope this play is considered for further development and investigation, and finds dedicated collaborators in this play’s journey towards production. #BAPF46

Unflinching and terrifying, in the finest ways. Gill's imagining of a not-very-future U.S., where the literal battles are between white and non-white people -- and where minds can be changed via the use of a machine designed for that purpose -- is deep, specific, and spot on. If drama is meant to spur us to think, BLANK SLATE is indeed great drama.

A staggering piece of genre-theater. Both a sci-fi thriller and a scathing look at contemporary politics — Max Gil fights white supremacy by slowly ratcheting up the tension and revealing his world. Rarely is an intelligent piece of work this nail-biting and page-turning. Fantastic.
